Despite it's sad-looking facade, Adonis is the bomb. Amazing food, great staff and a super-comfy ambience. Driving up to the little strip mall on Pinegrove just east of Fourth Line, you might second guess your decision to dine at Adonis. But don't turn around: this is my single favourite family restaurant ever.
I need to give special cudos to their Adonis Shawarma, which is the stuff dreams are made of. Seriously. In amongst a couple of the best pitas ever, they have a dizzying combination of tender chicken, bacon, grilled pineapple, and a few other amazingly delicious veggies smothered in a garlic sauce. Excuse me while I wipe a tear from my eye...
It's a family-owned business, and they're a nice bunch of people who really make you feel at home.
